MTN FA CUP winners Dreams FC General Manager Ameenu Shadow has confirmed that the team will use the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi as home venue for CAF Confederation Cup group phase.
Dreams formerly used the Accra Sports Stadium but will have to switch to the Baba Yara Stadium which is now the only approved venue in Ghana for hosting such games as revealed by the club’s general manager.
Speaking to Kessben FM, he said, “Baba Yara is the only sanctioned stadium per the list released by CAF so we have no other choice than to play at the Baba Yara in Kumasi”.
Dreams FC are in the same group as Club Africain, former Nigerian champions Rivers United, and fellow debutants Academica do Lobito of Angola.
The group phase of the Confederation Cup will begin on Sunday, November 26, 2023, through to March 3, 2024.
