Hearts of Oak midfielder Glid Otanga departed the shores of Ghana to his hometown in Congo on Saturday according to multiple reports.
The player is expected to part ways with the Ghana Premier League giants after a successful season with the phobia family. Glid Otanga joined Accra Hearts of Oak in 2022 from Coton Sports.
The midfielder has been impressive for Hearts of Oak since his arrival. He featured in 27 league games for the Phobias in the 2023/24 Season as he led them to a 14th-place finish in the Ghana Premier League.
The 23-year-old according to multiple reports is expected to join a club in Qatar as personal terms have been agreed between the Qatari club and the player.
His departure from Accra Hearts of Oak is expected to be announced in the coming days. Glid Otanga was a member of the Congolese squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.
