The Tarkwa-based club Medeama SC won their first ever Ghana Premier League title in the history of the club on Sunday afternoon at the Akoon Park in Tarkwa.

Jonathan Sowah scored the second goal for the home team after 66 minutes to make it 2-0 six minutes after the hour mark.
Medeama won the game 3-0 and reached the 60 points mark and five points ahead of Aduana Stars FC to lift their maiden GPL trophy.
They will represent Ghana in the elimination stages of the 2023-24 CAF Champions League prelims after winning the trophy.
This is the club’s third trophy after winning two MTN FA CUP trophies and one Premier League title to their name name.
