Gladson Awako, the midfielder for Hearts of Oak, has provided an update on his injury that has kept him out of action for the Phobians.
The 2009 U-20 World Cup winner suffered the injury during the 2023 CHAN tournament in Algeria, where the Black Galaxies were knocked out in the quarterfinals by Niger.
In an interview with Angel TV, the Black Galaxies captain said that he is recovering from the injury and expects to return to action for the Phobians soon. “It was an injury from the CHAN tournament. At the moment, I am treating it and recovering bit by bit. Very soon I will be back,” he stated.
Hearts of Oak is currently in fourth place on the league table with 35 points after playing 22 matches in the domestic top-flight campaign. The team will be facing Karela United in the Western part of Ghana in matchday 23 of the Ghana Premier League this weekend.
