Crystal Palace midfielder Jaïro Riedewald has expressed his confidence in the abilities of Ghanaian attacker Jesurun Rak-Sakyi and believes he is ready for first-team action in the upcoming campaign.
Rak-Sakyi showcased his talent while on loan at Charlton Athletic in League One last season, delivering exceptional performances for the club. He remarkably scored 15 goals and provided 10 assists in 50 appearances, earning him the prestigious Player of the Year award.
Now back at Crystal Palace after his loan spell, the young Ghanaian forward is determined to make his mark and secure a spot in the squad for the upcoming season. He already made an impact in a pre-season friendly against Brøndby IF, finding the target in a 2-2 draw.
Speaking about Rak-Sakyi’s potential, Riedewald expressed his excitement, saying, “He’s very exciting,” Riedewald affirmed. “I spoke to him a lot last pre-season and then he went on loan and did very well”
“This season, he’s looking sharp, he’s looking ready, and more mature. I think it was a good loan and hopefully we’ll see him more often this season.” He said.
With Riedewald’s endorsement and the promising performances Rak-Sakyi has displayed, there is optimism that the young talent will get the chance to shine and contribute to Crystal Palace’s success in the upcoming campaign.
