Czech Republic football club Viktoria Plzeň has successfully signed Ghanaian striker Prince Kwabena Adu in a significant transfer move.
The 20-year-old forward, who previously played for Bechem United and most recently represented Ukrainian side Kryvbas FC, has agreed to a three-year contract with Viktoria Plzeň, extending his stay with the club until the summer of 2027.
Viktoria Plzeň announced the acquisition of Adu on their official website on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, stating: “Prince Kwabena Adu is the newest player for Viktoria Plzeň. The 20-year-old Ghanaian forward joins from Kryvbas and has signed a three-year contract with the club.”
Interestingly, Adu had recently faced Viktoria Plzeň in the 3rd qualifying round of the Europa League earlier this month, where he made an impact by scoring a goal against them in the first leg in Košice. Now, he is set to wear their jersey as he begins this new chapter in his career.
Viktoria Plzeň is scheduled to face Scottish club Hearts in the second leg of the Europa League playoff on Thursday. However, Adu will not be eligible to participate in this match due to registration rules.
