Danish-Ghanaian teenage sensation Malik Pimpong is on the brink of joining Bundesliga outfit Eintracht Frankfurt from Danish champions FC Midtjylland in a deal reportedly worth between €2.5 million and €3 million.
The 18-year-old forward, son of former Ghana international Razak Pimpong, has emerged as one of Denmark’s brightest young talents after an outstanding 2025/26 season that caught the attention of several European clubs.
According to Sky Sport Germany, Eintracht Frankfurt are set to secure the signature of the versatile attacker after an exceptional campaign at both club and international level.
Pimpong enjoyed a prolific season with FC Midtjylland’s U19 side, finishing as the top scorer in the Danish U19 League with 20 goals in 26 appearances. He also impressed in the UEFA Youth League, scoring four goals in four matches to underline his reputation as one of Europe’s most exciting young forwards.
His excellent form continued on the international stage, where he netted six goals in 11 appearances for Denmark’s U18 national team. His performances throughout the year were rewarded with the Danish U19 Player of the Year award, further highlighting his rapid development.
Capable of playing anywhere across the front line, Pimpong has earned praise for his pace, intelligent movement, clinical finishing and versatility, qualities that have made him one of the most sought-after young attackers in Scandinavian football.
The move to Eintracht Frankfurt marks another major milestone in the teenager’s career and sees him follow in the footsteps of his father, Razak Pimpong, who represented Ghana at the 2006 FIFA World Cup and enjoyed a successful playing career across Europe.
Should the transfer be completed, Frankfurt will provide the highly-rated youngster with an ideal environment to continue his development and make the transition into senior football at one of Germany’s leading clubs.
