Following their 3-2 defeat to Asante Kotoko, Dr Nyaho-Nyaho Tamakloe, a Board Member of Hearts of Oak, assured the club’s supporters that significant changes are imminent for positive results.
Despite fans’ disappointment after the recent loss at the Baba Yara Stadium, Dr Nyaho-Tamakloe, in a conversation with Asempa FM, commended the players for their spirited performance.
“I agree entirely the fans are not happy but if you have been following the style of play by Hearts of Oak, yesterday, they were aggressive, fast and very stubborn and that is what modern football is all about,” he said.
He acknowledged fans’ frustration over the lack of goals but emphasized the team’s aggressive and modern style of play.
“Now if fans are not happy, I agree with them because what they want are goals but look at the performance of Chelsea at the moment. It is so surprising but in football, you cannot many at times predict.”
While acknowledging the current discontent among fans, Dr Nyaho-Tamakloe affirmed that the coming weeks will witness a transformation in the club’s performance, promising a different Hearts of Oak.
The Board Member cited examples from top football clubs like Chelsea and Manchester City, emphasizing the unpredictable nature of football.
“Look at the performance of Manchester City recently that is football.
“So I don’t have anything against a fan who is not happy. What the fans want is to see goals however in the coming weeks, I believe strongly that they will see a different Hearts of Oak,” he added.
Hearts of Oak currently holds the 9th position on the Premier League table with 16 points. The upcoming Matchday 15 fixture against Nations FC at the Dr Kwame Kyei Sports Complex presents an opportunity for the club to showcase improvements and aim for better results.
