Ghana’s Black Galaxies sneaked into the country on Wednesday dawn after a disgraceful display at the 2022 CAF Africa Nations Championship in Algeria.

The local senior national team disappointed the whole country at the tournament when they got eliminated at the group stages of the competition.

Ghana looked unperturbed throughout the opening 45 minutes of the match and hardly threatened the back line of defense of the Nigeriens.

Niger took the game to the Ghanaians and pressed so high up the field with pace and power to put Ghana’s defense under intense pressure.

Accra Hearts of Oak SC defender, Konadu Yiadom succumbed to the pressure from the Niger team as he scored an own goal to make it 1-0 against Ghana.

Throughout the first half of the match, Ghana failed to get single shot on target with the Niger goalkeeper being on a holiday.

The first half ended 1-0 to Niger. Soumane Hainikoye scored a World class goal just four minutes after the break to make it 2-0.

Ghana couldn’t get a shot on target in 90 minutes plus additional time period of the match as they bowed out of the tournament at the quarter-final stage.

Ghana are out of the 2022 CHAN tournament ongoing in Algeria as Niger set up a semi-final clash against the host nation, Algeria on Tuesday.
