The 2024 Division One League (DOL) Super Cup continued with an exciting Group B opener, where Vision FC secured a crucial 2-0 victory over Techiman Liberty Youth.

The match, held at the Nana Kronanmansah Park, showcased a competitive display of talent and strategy from both sides.

The first half ended in a stalemate, with neither team managing to find the back of the net. Vision FC had a golden opportunity to take the lead when they were awarded a penalty. However, Edmund Asante’s shot struck the woodwork, leaving the scoreline unchanged at halftime.

The breakthrough came in the 53rd minute when Adamu Amadu scored a stunning free-kick, giving Vision FC a 1-0 lead. The momentum shifted in their favor as they continued to press for a second goal. Their efforts paid off when substitute Emmanuel Kyei Baffour, who came on from the bench, doubled the lead, securing a 2-0 advantage for Vision FC.

Adamu Amadu’s outstanding performance on the pitch earned him the Man of the Match award. Not only did he score the opening goal, but he also provided the assist for the second, demonstrating his vital role in Vision FC’s victory.

This win places Vision FC in a strong position in Group B as they aim to advance to the next stages of the tournament.

The team will look to build on this momentum in their upcoming matches, while Techiman Liberty Youth will seek to regroup and bounce back in their next game.
