DOL Week 28 Wrap: Nations FC secure GPL promotion; XI Wonders, Bofoakwa suffer defeats; Kenpong beat Kotoko, Nania confirm stay; Dwarfs increase survival hopes

Gameweek 28 of the 2022/23 Access Bank Division One League presented us with some exciting results across the various match centers.

In Zone One A, bottom placed Kumbung Binbiem shocked Eleven Wonders, beating them 2-1. Wa Suntaa were 1-0 home winners against Debibi United. It rained goals at the Ohene Armeyaw Park as Wa Yassin defeated Maana FC 3-0 and Steadfast won 2-0 against Kassena Nankana.

In Zone One B, ‪Francis Baffoe‬’s solitary goal saw Young Apostles beat Nkoranza Warriors 1-0. Mighty Royals defeated Bofoakwa Tano 2-1 and B.A United beat Baffour Soccer Academy by similar scoreline.

In Zone Two, ‪Nations FC rallied from behind to beat WAFA 3-2, in the process securing promotion to the Premier League. Enoch Affram scored twice for Ebusua Dwarfs in a 2-1 win against Asokwa Deportivo. Skyy won 3-1 at home to Soccer Intellectuals. At the Gyamfi Park, Swedru All Blacks defeated New Edubiase 4-2.

Farouk Mohammed Awal scored the only goal of the game to give Kenpong Academy a 1-0 home win against Nzema Kotoko. Asekem compounded Elmina Sharks’ wound, beating them 1-0. Sefwi All Stars thrashed Pacific Heroes 3-0. The game between Future Stars and Holy Stars ended abruptly.

In Zone Three (3), Heart of Lions scored late to beat Akatsi All Stars in the derby. Uncle T and Vision shared the spoils, 1-1. Krystal Palace defeated Mighty Jets 2-1. In Ho, Volta Rangers and Liberty Professionals played a 0-0 draw.

Tema Youth scored late to earn a 2-2 draw at home to Susubiribi. Attram De Visser and Koforidua Semper FI played a scoreless draw and Nania won 1-0 away against Golden Kicks. On Monday, Na God will play Rences FC.
