Dr. Toni Aubynn has lost his position as a member of the Ghana Football Association Executive Council during the elective congress held in Tamale.
Dr. Aubynn received only seven votes, falling short of securing a place in the top five positions.
The position was won by former Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah, who was contesting for it for the first time.
The Executive Council will now consist of Oduro Sarfo from Berekum Chelsea, CAF General Coordinator Fredrick Acheampong, and Randy Abbey.
Dr. Toni Aubynn had served in this role during Kurt Okraku’s first term as the president of the Ghana Football Association.
Meanwhile, Mr. Okraku successfully retained his position as the head of the federation, securing an overwhelming 117 votes, which represented 97.1% of the votes cast.
The new FA administration will serve until 2027.
