“DRC is dreaming of a possible AFCON final”- Dylan Batubinsika

DR Congo won 3-1 against Guinea on Friday night in Abidjan to secure a semi-final spot in the ongoing 2023 AFCON.

After the Leopards of DR Congo’s win over Guinea, defender Dylan Batubinsika talked of the Leopard’s dream of playing in the finals

“It was a great performance from the team and now DRC is dreaming of a possible AFCON final”, said Batubinsika.

DR Congo has every right to dream of playing in the finals because they have been so great in the competition.

Sebastien Desabre’s Leopards are unbeaten in the five games played so far. They played an incredible 1-1 draw against 2022 World Cup semi-finalists Morocco and eliminated 7-time winner Egypt on penalties in Round 16.

DR Congo seems to improve game after game and must fancy their chances of reaching the finals against any of Ivory Coast or Mali in the semi-finals.
