Ghana Premier League side Dreams FC has officially announced the signing of highly-rated goalkeeper Richmond Ayi for the upcoming 2024/25 football season.
The 27-year-old has inked a two-year contract after successfully completing his medicals earlier this afternoon.
Ayi, who had his contract with Hearts of Oak terminated after the last season, has been without competitive football since January. Dreams FC confirmed the acquisition by posting a picture of Ayi undergoing his medicals on social media, and he has now been unveiled as a free transfer.
The former Black Meteors goalkeeper previously joined Hearts of Oak as a free agent after the 2017/18 season, following topflight stints with Techiman City FC and WAFA.
Ayi played a crucial role in helping the ‘Phobians’ secure two FA Cup titles, including the last one against Bechem United in Kumasi, and was a key part of their treble-winning squad in 2021.
