Dreams FC striker Agyenim Boateng radiates optimism as he discusses his team’s journey in the ongoing CAF Confederations Cup campaign. With a notable 1-0 triumph over Tunisian giants Club Africain, Dreams FC now leads Group C and eyes a path to the quarterfinals.

Acknowledging the formidable challenges of the Confederations Cup, Boateng exudes confidence in his team’s capabilities. In an interview with Akoma FM, he shares his belief in overcoming Rivers United in Nigeria, drawing strength from their previous victory over the Nigerian side on home turf.

“Even though it was difficult, we were determined to win this (Club Africain) match and advance to the next round,” Boateng affirms, highlighting the team’s resolute mindset.

The upcoming match in Nigeria holds significant importance, as Dreams FC needs to secure at least a draw to confirm their qualification to the knockout stage. Boateng eagerly anticipates the encounter, expressing faith in replicating their success against Rivers United using a familiar strategy.

“We know we can defeat Rivers United in Nigeria because we did it in Ghana, so we’ll use the same strategy there,” he confidently states.

Boateng’s aspirations extend beyond mere participation; he envisions Dreams FC making a mark in their debut CAF competitions. “Although this is our first time competing in CAF competitions, we are determined to advance to the semifinals and prove to everyone that we are capable of winning this Confederations Cup trophy,” he asserts.

His sentiments resonate with teammate Godfred Atuahene, whose decisive goal against Club Africain exemplified the team’s resolve. Atuahene sees their victory as a proclamation of readiness to face Africa’s elite teams, setting a tone of ambition and determination for the journey ahead.
