Dreams FC head coach Karim Zito has announced that the club will be without rising star Abdul Aziz Issah for the 2024/25 football season due to multiple offers from foreign clubs.
The 18-year-old forward, who played a key role in the club’s impressive run to the semifinals of the CAF Confederation Cup last season, is set to depart as the team prepares for the new campaign.
Issah was instrumental in Dreams FC’s success, scoring four goals and providing two assists in the CAF Confederation Cup. Despite his contributions, Issah is among several standout players expected to leave before the new season begins in September.
In an interview with Takoradi-based Skyy Power 93.5 FM, Zito discussed his plans for the upcoming season and the future of several key players. “I am seriously preparing for the new season. As it stands, Abdul Aziz Issah, John Antwi, Egyir, Abdul Jalilu, McCarthy Ofori, and Agyenim Boateng aren’t part of my plans,” he stated.
Dreams FC’s management is actively working to strengthen the squad for the upcoming season, aiming to build on their recent successes and maintain their competitive edge. The club has also confirmed its relocation to the Tuba Astroturf for the 2024/25 football season, moving from the Theater of Dreams in Dawu.
The management team has been tasked with implementing necessary upgrades to the Tuba facility to meet the Club Licensing standards required for professional play. The club expressed gratitude to the residents of Dawu for their unwavering support over the years, which significantly contributed to the club’s achievements in the Ghana Premier League, the MTN FA Cup, and their historic journey in the CAF Confederation Cup.
“We also announce our move to the people of Bortianor-Ngleshie-Amanfro with the hope that the enthusiasm already shown will translate into unforgettable support,” the club said in a heartfelt message.
