Dutch-born Ghanaian defender Essien Bassey has been promoted to the U23 side of PSV Eindhoven.
Essien, 18, played for both the U18 and U21 side during the 2024/25 season, and he greatly impressed the coaches.
The teenager signed a new one-year deal with PSV in June, and he has now been drafted into the U23 side ahead of the coming season.
Essien joined PSV in the summer of 2022 from De
Graafschap and has progressed from the U16 team to the U23.
He is yet to be capped by Ghana or the Netherlands at international level.
