Dutch-Ghanaian forward Brian Brobbey showcased his scoring prowess as Ajax faced a defeat against Borussia Dortmund in a preseason friendly on Sunday.

The 21-year-old initiated the match and remained on the field for the entire duration as his team succumbed to a 3-1 loss against the Bundesliga powerhouse.

Borussia Dortmund took an early lead just six minutes into the game through German international Julian Brandt. However, Ajax swiftly responded, with Brian Brobbey netting a goal a minute later, in the 7th minute.

The first half concluded with a 1-1 draw at the Signal Iduna Park.

Borussia Dortmund’s improved performance in the subsequent stages led to two more goals, securing their victory over the Dutch giants.

German youngster Felix Nmecha, coming off the bench, scored a brace that propelled Dortmund to triumph on their home turf.

Ajax’s compatriot, Mohammed Kudus, who is nearing a move to Premier League club Brighton and Hove Albion, contributed 77 minutes of play for the Ajax side.
