Dutch-born Ghanaian striker Elvis Manu was on target for Wisła Kraków in their 1-1 away draw against Śląsk Wrocław on Sunday in the Polish top-flight.
Elvis Manu scored the only goal for the guests in the 6th minute as they threw the ball into the goal guarded by Michał Szromnik.
Caye Quintana struck in the 41st minute to draw the game for the home team Śląsk.
Despite hitting the back of the net, Elvis Manu was unhappy with the outcome of the match.
“Obviously I’m disappointed with that one point because we had so many chances in the first half of the game that I think we should easily score two or three goals,” Manu told wisla.krakow.pl.
“With a two or three goal half-time lead, the game would have been easier. The opponent didn’t have much to say and we can blame ourselves for not hitting more times in the first game. In the second half, we had a fight match and the situation could have developed both ways, “Manu expressed his opinion, adding:” We were strong. We analyzed the opponent and knew what his weaknesses were, which we tried to make use of. I think it was good for us, but we didn’t score enough goals. ” he added.
“I saw that Gio had the ball and Grucha was running ahead and in this situation I had to be under the opponent’s goal. As soon as I saw that he had reached the penalty area, I ran as soon as I could to be at the second post and put the ball into the net “- the 28-year-old player calmly described the circumstances of his first hit for Wisła.
