Coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani has called up eight Asante Kotoko players to participate in screening and training at the Ghanaman Center of Excellence in Prampram as part of the Black Galaxies squad.
A total of 96 players have been selected, divided into four batches, with each group comprising 24 players.
The first batch, including the eight Kotoko players led by captain Richard Boadu, goalkeeper Frederick Asare, and defenders Augustine Agyapong, Mubarik Yusif, and John Tedeku, along with midfielders Sherif Mohammed, Richmond Lamptey, and Enock Morrison, are scheduled to report on different dates, starting on Monday, July 17, 2023.
During the training period, each group will undergo two sessions and participate in an internal match, with each match divided into three 30-minute periods.
Players who are currently part of the Youth teams (U23 and U20) have not been included in this selection but will be continuously monitored.
A comprehensive database has been created to facilitate the continuous monitoring of players, allowing for possible inclusion in the Black Stars based on domestic performances or urgent replacements.
After the screening exercise, Phase Two will commence in August, with selected players participating in a two-week camp from July 30 to August 14, 2023.
