Ghanaian winger Emmanuel Toku found the net for AEL Limassol in their solid 3-1 win over Nea Salamis in Round 30 of the Cyprus First Division on Sunday.
After a first half filled with missed opportunities for both sides, the match came alive in the second half. Ivan Trickovski broke the deadlock in the 52nd minute with a clinical finish to give AEL the lead.
The visitors doubled their advantage just seven minutes later when Andreas Panagiotou Filiotis found the back of the net, putting them in a commanding position.
Nea Salamis pulled one back from the penalty spot, with Ange-Freddy Plumain calmly converting to keep his side in the contest.
But AEL Limassol put the result beyond doubt late in the game, as Emmanuel Toku scored to wrap up the win. The goal marked his second of the season in 27 league appearances.
The victory lifts AEL Limassol to eighth on the league table with 36 points, boosting their hopes of finishing the campaign on a positive note.
