English-Ghanaian attacker Daniel Adu Adjei delivered another impressive performance as HNK Rijeka secured a comfortable 3-0 victory over Vukovar 91 at Stadion HNK Rijeka.
Adu Adjei opened the scoring in the 41st minute after racing onto a low cross from Mladen Devetak before calmly slotting the ball past the goalkeeper to give Rijeka a deserved lead.
The forward proved a constant threat throughout the encounter, recording the highest number of touches inside the opposition box with nine while also registering a game-high five shots.
Rijeka continued their dominance after halftime as Stjepan Radeljic doubled the advantage from a delivery by Justas Lasickas early in the second half.
Substitute Toni Fruk then completed the rout in stoppage time after another assist from Devetak, sealing an emphatic win for the hosts.
The result highlighted Rijeka’s superiority, with the home side outshooting Vukovar 91 by 17 attempts to seven while restricting the visitors to just one effort on target.
Adu Adjei’s latest strike takes his tally for the 2025/26 HNL season to six goals and three assists in 25 appearances, underlining his growing importance in Rijeka’s attacking setup.
Rijeka will now shift focus to a high-profile Croatian Cup clash against Dinamo Zagreb on May 13.
