The 34-year-old Emilio Nsue has returned from international football after dazzling at the 2023 AFCON.
Emilio Nsue Lopez, born in Palma de Mallorca to a Spanish mother and an Equatoguinean father, represented Spain at the Youth level as he played for the Spanish U16, U17, U19, U20 and U21 between 2005 and 2011.
The right-back cum forward decided to switch to play for the land of his father in 2013 and went ahead to play 43 times and score 22 goals for Equatorial Guinea.
The 34-year-old captained and finished as the top scorer in the AFCON 2023 tournament for Equatorial Guinea by scoring five goals.
Nsue was recently suspended indefinitely by the Equatorial Guinea FA for alleging that the Equatorial Guinea FA has been embezzling funds meant for football.
The Intercity right-back, who has played for Mallorca, Real Sociedad, Middlesborough, Birmingham, Apoel and many other teams has decided to retire from international football.
