Eric Alagidede has stepped down as General Manager of Ghana FA Cup champions Nsoatreman.
Alagidede’s resignation comes at a challenging time for the club, which has endured an inconsistent run in the Ghana Premier League this season. Nsoatreman currently sits 11th on the league table, having secured just three wins so far.
Appointed in July 2023, Alagidede leaves behind an impressive legacy despite the team’s recent struggles. Under his leadership, Nsoatreman achieved historic success by winning their first-ever FA Cup title last season, a milestone that earned them a debut appearance in the CAF Confederation Cup.
Beyond their on-field achievements, Alagidede spearheaded significant off-field transformations that elevated the club’s profile. His innovative strategies boosted Nsoatreman’s appeal to fans and stakeholders, strengthening the team’s reputation as a rising force in Ghanaian football.
Prior to joining Nsoatreman, Alagidede served as Chief Executive of Koforidua Suhyen Sporting Club, a second-division side, and worked as Communications Manager for Premier League club Karela United.
Alagidede’s departure marks the end of a transformative era for Nsoatreman. The club now faces the task of appointing a capable successor to sustain its growth while addressing the challenges of their current league campaign.
