Ghanaian midfielder Mohamud Abdul Karimu has completed a switch to Estonian club Harju JK from Latvian top-flight outfit FK Metta.
The 22-year-old, who previously featured for Al Taawon in the Middle East, impressed Harju officials during a pre-season friendly, convincing the club to secure his services.
Expressing his delight after signing, Karimu said:
“I’m very glad to be here. I feel at home and very welcomed. I’m ready to give everything to put the club in its rightful place. I love the atmosphere and the people are amazing… let’s get to work.”
Harju CEO Kalmar Liv also praised the new signing, noting his quality and potential impact on the team.
“Karimu caught our eye already in the pre-season match against FK Metta. He is a very interesting left-footed player who will definitely add more skill, quick feet, and good energy to the team for the rest of the season,” Liv stated.
Karimu has already begun training with his new teammates and is in contention to make his debut this weekend when Harju face Tabasalu Ulasabat.
