Board member of Asante Kotoko, Evelyn Nsiah Asare has reacted to criticisms levelled against the club’s management following the 1-0 loss to King Faisal on Wednesday, saying things will get better.
King Faisal beat the Porcupine Warriors at the Baba Yara Stadium courtesy of a first-half strike from midfielder, Baba Yahaya, latching unto a mistake from the Kotoko defence. The defeat also sees the club eliminated from the MTN FA Cup with just the Ghana Premier League to play for.
Nsiah Asare believes the followers of the club should be measured in their criticisms as she hopes the club is capable of bouncing back, liking the current situation to Spanish side, Barcelona’s exit from the UEFA Champions League.
Fans spoke angrily after the game against the Insha Allah boys, who have now beaten Kotoko in both encounters they have met so far this season.
Responding to the comments from the fans, Nsiah Asare questioned: “Krobea is out of FA Cup and so what?”
“Barcelona is out of the Champions League, I do not think their supporters or the team is dead. You can say all that you want, we are still a great Family and we will be back. I sleep Krobea, I eat Krobea na my everything is Krobea.”
