Ex-Ghana midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong implores former club Arsenal to sign Sadio Mane from Bayern

Emmanuel Frimpong, the former Ghanaian and Arsenal forward, has recommended that his former team should sign Sadio Mane from Bayern Munich during the summer transfer window.

Mane has struggled to perform since joining the Bundesliga champions, where he was expected to replace Robert Lewandowski.

He was recently suspended after reportedly punching his teammate, Leroy Sane, raising doubts about his future at the Allianz Arena and opening up a possible opportunity for other clubs.

Frimpong believes that Arsenal should seize this opportunity and bring Mane to the Emirates, citing his versatility as an advantage for the team’s young players.

“Sadio Mane would be a great signing for Arsenal, especially with the young players that we have, he will be able to play on the wings or down the middle,” he told LordPing.

“We have players like Trossard, Martinelli and Saka and if we had Mane in the mix to get us through tough competitions, we would be powerful. I can imagine Sadio Mane in an Arsenal shirt for sure.”

Despite concerns about his conduct, Frimpong is confident that any bust-ups, including Mane’s altercation with Sane, are part of football and can be overcome.

“Bust-ups happen in football all the time. I remember at Arsenal two players got into one behind closed doors. You just have to brush it off and move on. In any relationship, whether it is marriage or friendship, you will have arguments with each other and Leroy Sane and Sadio Mane aren’t any different.”
