Former Accra Hearts of Oak midfielder, Emmanuel Nettej has called out Legon Cities for neglecting goalkeeper William Essu.

Pictures of goalkeeper William Essu who is battling an unknown illness hit social media with many calling out Legon Cities for neglecting the player.

Legon Cities responded to the social media calls but the lame response from the club infuriated Nettey who was shock after reading the response from the Royals.

“Wow, just wow, a player under contract, and your attention was drawn when his pics were on social media about his illness and the league starts over the weekend, so his absence didn’t matter cos you had another player to play in his position,” Nettey tweeted.

Below is the full statement from Legon Cities:

“Our attention has been drawn to pictures of our goalkeeper William Essu circulating on various social media platforms with discussions on traditional media platforms.”

“We plead with the media and general public to be circumspect in the reportage of Essu’s health as all efforts are being made to address the player’s current situation.”
