Asante Kotoko have signaled their interest in acquiring the services of Samuel Asamoah, the talented right-back from Bofoakwa Tano, during the current transfer window, as revealed by local transfer expert Mohammed Shaban.

Samuel Asamoah has gained recognition for his remarkable defensive abilities and adeptness in attack from the right wing, showcasing his prowess as a standout performer for Bofoakwa Tano in recent campaigns.

His consistent displays and versatile skills have captured the attention of scouts and coaches nationwide, especially after contributing to Bofoakwa Tano’s successful promotion back to the Ghanaian top tier.

Asante Kotoko’s management and coaching staff have pinpointed the right-back position as a pivotal area for reinforcement, and Samuel Asamoah perfectly fits the mold of the player sought by coach Prosper Narteh Ogum.

Reports suggest that discussions are underway between the two clubs, focusing on the intricacies of the transfer deal and the terms of the player’s contract.

In the meantime, Asante Kotoko has officially confirmed the acquisition of reliable defender Yahaya Dawuni on a three-year contract.

The 19-year-old’s signing was officially announced on August 8, as he joined Asante Kotoko following a successful completion of mandatory medical assessments.

Dawuni, who exhibited impressive form at lower-tier club Susubiribi Sporting Club, has already integrated into the Asante Kotoko squad for pre-season training at Beposo Park in the Ashanti Region.

The former champions of the Ghana Premier League have commenced their pre-season preparations on August 8 at Beposo Park.
