Experienced German tactician Winfried Schafer in interested in coaching the Black Stars of Ghana.
The veteran tactician who masterminded Cameroon’s AFCON triumph two decades ago is bent on handling Ghana and will tend in his application for the vacant job.
“Schafer wants to coach the Black Stars, he has huge experience having won the AFCON with Cameroon in 2002 and he wants to bring Ghana to the top again.” The agent of Schafer who is in Thailand told Sportsworldghana.com
“We are waiting for applications to open so that he tends in his CV for the job. He is the right man for Ghana.”
Schafer has handled clubs such as Al Ahli and Al Ain in UAE as well the Thailand, Jamaican national teams and others since leaving Cameroon in 2004.
His last job was in 2021 with Qatari outfit Al Khor FC.
