Michael Kyei Dwamena, the former WAFA midfielder, has successfully concluded his transfer to Asante Kotoko during the ongoing transfer window, with an official announcement on the horizon.
Throughout the duration of the current transfer window, the 23-year-old has been extensively linked with a move to the prominent club, and he has now finalized his transition to the Porcupines.
Dwamena, characterized by his tall stature, has consistently showcased his remarkable skills while with the Academy Boys. His exceptional performances in the previous season garnered significant attention, attracting interest from numerous top-tier clubs within the country.
Nonetheless, Asante Kotoko has remained at the forefront of the pursuit and has solidified the agreement. The player has formally signed a three-year contract with the Baba Yara Stadium-based team after successfully completing his mandatory medical examination on Tuesday.
Asante Kotoko’s preseason preparations are currently underway in Beposo. The team has already engaged in friendly matches against Kharis Academy and Cornerstones, with two more matches slated for Wednesday.
This meticulous preparation under the guidance of Prosper Nartey, the team’s coach, and his squad is aimed at fostering cohesion and readiness for the upcoming 2023/24 season, which is set to kick off in a few weeks.
