The Under-21s began their pre-season campaign little more than a week ago, but six youngsters including the Okine-Peters who completed their scholarship with the club last season have now committed their immediate futures to the club by putting pen to paper on their first professional contracts.
Born to Ghanaian parents in England, Okine who can also play as a right winger and centre-forward, has signed his first pro-contract with Reading ahead of the upcoming 2023/23 season with the hope of getting more playing time with either the U-18 in the Premier League 2 or the EFL League One.
Jeremiah Okine-Peters scored three goals in Reading FC’s final six games of the Professional Development League (South) campaign in April. Two goals against Coventry City U-18 and one goal against Sheffield Wednesday at Bearwood.
