Ghanaian midfielder Lawrence Ofori could be joining Spanish club Real Mallorca who are seriously interested in signing the Ghanaian midfielder from Portuguese outfit Moreirense.
The Spanish side are reportedly preparing a €1.5m bid, though that figure may fall short of Moreirense’s valuation, with the club holding 50% of the player’s rights alongside Famalicão.
According to abola.pt, talks could progress in the coming days, with Moreirense said to be open to a deal in the region of €2 to 2.5m.
The 27-year old Ghanaian midfielder hasn’t played since the end of August but some Portuguese clubs Sports World Ghana understands have also made inquiries about the availability of the player.
In his fourth season with the Minho club, the attacker started the season as a starter, but a muscle injury suffered in the fourth matchday — the last in which he played — came at a bad time and, since then, he has not been able to regain his place in Vasco Botelho da Costa’s plans.
Ofori’s’s contract current expires on June 30th, so if the player doesn’t leave Moreirense. this January, he will leave the club as a free agent at the end of the season.
He has previously had stints at Leixões, Feirense, Famalicão and Arouca.
