Exclusive: Lille close in on Alexander Djiku

Ghanaian international Alexander Djiku could be heading to Lille in the ongoing summer transfer window.

The defender’s contract with Strasbourg expires on June 30, 2023 and he is bent on moving to a new club.

Sportsworldghana.com can confirm that Lille have approached Djiku and his agent as they want to swoop for him as a replacement for Portuguese central defender Jose Fonte who is on his way out of the team.

Djiku, 28, joined Strasbourg in the summer of 2019 and has gone on to play 127 games scoring 4 goals and providing 3 assists.
