Black Meteors defender Terry Yegbe caught the headlines on Thursday night as he made a crucial move in SJK’s win over VPS in the Finnish league.
The newly-identified Ghana centre-back effected a long throw from the opposition’s half which was pushed into the net by the goalkeeper to give SJK the lead.
Yegbe, one of three centre-backs at the back for his team, is also an expert at long throws and made his speciality count as his side stayed unbeaten and continued a chase for the league title.
SJK are yet to lose a game this season and occupy the second position, one point behind league leaders KuPS.
The 22-year-old was included in the Black Meteors’ provisional 29-man squad for the 2023 U-23 Africa Cup of Nations to be staged in Morocco later this month.
