Newly promoted Italian Serie A team U. S Lecce are keen to sign Ghanaian youngster Felix Afena Ohene-Gyan from AS Roma this summer, Sportsworldghana.com can confirm exclusively.
The newly promoted team has contacted the Red and Yellows to possibly sign the youngster from Roma on a season long loan deal.
The club is on the market for a striker and has identified the Black Stars striker as a prime transfer target for the 2022-23.
Afena Ohene-Gyan played 17 games in the 2021-22 in the Serie A and scored two goals in the process helping his team to book Europa League spot.
He scored his first goal for Ghana in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Madagascar at the Cape Coast stadium on Wednesday, June 1.
The deal is close and is expected to be done once the player return to Italy after the Kirin Four Nations tournament in Japan this weekend.
