Standard Liège Pro League side Standard Liège, have agreed a season-long loan deal with Club Brugge for Ghanaian internal Kamal Sowah, Sportsworldghana.com have been hinted.
The two clubs reached an agreement on Tuesday afternoon on a loan with purchase option.
The player has already landed in Liège to take his medical tests. The Ghanaian winger is an old acquaintance of coach Carl Hoefkens under whom he had his best period at Club Brugge.
Club Brugge brought Sowah to Bruges in the summer of 2021 for a then record amount of 9 million euros. However, the young Ghanaian could never live up to the high expectations and was loaned to Dutch Eredivisie side AZ Alkmaar for the first time in 2022.

Sowah under coach Carl Hoefkens saw the former Leicester attacker hit top form. However, the gaffer’s departure saw Sowah’s impressive form dropped drastically as he struggled to command playing time in the Jupiler League.
The 23-year old under the wing of his former coach, now would be hoping to revive his career at Sclessin. The purchase option in the loan deal, Sportsworldghana.com understands would be around three million euros.
Sowah had 27 appearances for Club Brugge during the 2022/23 season, scoring four goals. He also scored two goals in seven caps in the UEFA Champions League.
