Teen sensation Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has safely arrived in Ghana ahead of 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers next month.
The Sporting CP Lisbon player is in camp as the team continues with their preparation for the matches against Madagascar and Central Africa Republic.
He was at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Cameroon when Ghana was humiliated by Comoros in the group stages of the competition.
He played in both FIFA World Cup Qualifiers against the Super Eagles of Nigeria in March where Ghana stole the ticket from their rivals to make their fourth appearance at the FIFA Mundial.He played for Dreams FC on loan from Division One League Zone One side Steadfast FC and scored six goals in five games before his move to Portuguese giant Sporting CP Lisbon.
He’s expected to play a major role in Ghana’s upcoming games against Madagascar and Central Africa Republic respectively.
His club, Sporting has reportedly asked the Ghana FA to exempt him from the team for the four nations tournament in Japan after the qualifiers.
