Leicester City continued their fine start to the 2025/26 English Championship season with a solid 2-0 victory over Birmingham City on Friday evening at the King Power Stadium.
Ghanaian winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku opened the scoring, finding the net for the second consecutive game to give the Foxes an early advantage. His sharp attacking play and eye for goal once again highlighted the growing influence he has on Leicester’s campaign.
Birmingham City tried to fight back but struggled to break down the home side’s well-organized defense. Leicester kept control of the game, pressing high and creating chances.
In the latter stages, Ricardo Pereira came off the bench to seal the win, scoring a late goal that confirmed all three points for the Foxes.
The 2-0 result maintains Leicester’s strong momentum in the Championship as they push for an immediate return to the Premier League. For Fatawu, his back-to-back goals show his rising confidence and importance in the team.
