Ghana Premier League side FC Samartex have confirmed the temporary suspension of Eric Bekoe from his roles as assistant coach of the senior team and coach of the club’s youth side.
The decision was announced by the club’s management, which stated that the former Asante Kotoko striker was suspended for insubordination and breach of the ethics guiding members of the club’s technical team.
According to the statement, Bekoe has been referred to FC Samartex’s disciplinary committee to face a hearing, after which the public will be informed of the outcome.
Eric Bekoe was appointed in October 2025 as youth team head coach and senior team strikers’ coach, a move that formed part of the club’s long-term development strategy aimed at nurturing young talents and improving attacking efficiency.
His immediate future at the club now remains uncertain as he awaits the verdict of the disciplinary process.
