Ghana’s U-17 female National team, Black Maidens posted a deserving 3:0 victory against Senegal on Sunday in the second leg of the FIFA Women’s U-17 World Cup qualifiers.
Coach Baba Nuhu’s side won the first leg by one nil in Senegal.
A solo run from Captain Georgina Ayisha Aoyem put the Black Maidens ahead in 49th minute after a goalless first half of entertaining display from both teams.
Ghana after picking the lead kept tormenting Senegal and got the second goal in the 58th minute, thanks Princess Owusu’s brilliant header.
Princess Owusu after hitting the back of the net was sent off in the 71st minute following a nasty tackle on Senegal player Ndeye Tida.
In the 73rd minute Abdulai Karima’s Curler had to through the top corner to wrap up a commanding 3:0 win for the Black Maidens at the Accra Sports Stadium.
