The Black Princesses of Ghana on Saturday, 5th February, 2022 whitewashed Uganda in the FIFA Women’s U-20 World qualifiers at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium in a second leg clash.
The Black Princesses of Ghana posted a 5-0 win over Uganda in the final phase of the qualifiers.
Having picked a 2-1 advantage from the first leg, Coach Ben Fokuo’s side opened scoring with a high pressing football at the 22nd minute of soccer action through Evelyn Badu and the second goal from Salamatu Abdulai at the 26th minute.
The two goal lead separating the two sides remained on the score board for the first half but the home side kept on throwing a punch to the visitors back in the second half to extend the lead courtesy Rahama Jafaru at the 82nd minute.
The home side fought to get the fourth goal through Doris Boaduwa at the 88th.
They ended up with the 4-0 lead at home and were cheered up by the home fans.
Ghana have automatically qualified to the next stage and will lock horns with Ethiopia after 7-1 aggregate scoreline against Uganda.
The major tournament will kick off on 10th August to 28th August.
