Ghana captain Andre Ayew bagged brace in 10 minutes as Al Sadd SC whipped Al Gharafa in the Qatar Super League on Saturday evening.
The Ghanaian international came from the bench to score twice for the Black and Whites outfit as they thrashed their opponents at home to stretch their lead at the top of the league table.
Ayew came on in the last 10 minutes of the match as he replaced Algeria international Baghdad Bounedjah.
He scored his team’s fourth goal when they were leading 3-1 through the spot kick to grab his 11th of the season.
He added his second on the day and his team’s fifth as they beat their opponents 5-1 on the road to pick their 14th win in 15 league games.
The 33-year-old has 12 goals and three assists to his name in the Qatari Super League this season after joining from Swansea City AFC.
