Ghana legend Asamoah Gyan says he shouldn’t be invited to the Black Stars team based on his past records with the Ghana senior national team.
According to him, should he earn a call-up based on his past experience is not the best and should be considered only when he deserves it with his performance.

“For me, I think earning the call-up shouldn’t be about the number of goals I have scored in the past. I have to be fit, playing actively for a team before I accept the call-up”.
He’s the all time top scorer for Ghana and has played in all three FIFA World Cup tournaments Ghana has taken part between 2006 and 2014.
Asamoah Gyan is also the all time Africa top scorer in the history of the FIFA World Cup competition.
