Former Asante Kotoko goalkeeper, Felix Annan, has completed a move to Carlton Town, a team in the Northern Premier League division One East.
The official announcement of the transfer was made by the English semi-professional side on their social media platforms, where they warmly welcomed the Ghanaian shot-stopper to the Millers family. The club expressed their excitement about having Felix Annan join their ranks and anticipate he will become a crowd favorite.
The details of the contract length remain undisclosed, but it’s confirmed that Annan joined Carlton Town on a free transfer after parting ways with his previous club, Maryland Bodcats in the USA. During his time with the American club, Annan kept an impressive six clean sheets in 18 league games before deciding to terminate his contract.
Felix Annan’s career has seen him represent Ghana at the 2017 AFCON, and he made a significant impact while playing for Asante Kotoko in the CAF Confederation Cup. He played a crucial role in helping the team reach the money zone of the tournament, recording three clean sheets in 12 matches and making vital penalty saves for the Porcupine Warriors.
Given his vast experience in the post, Annan is expected to provide a commanding presence at the back for Carlton Town as they prepare for the upcoming season in the UK-based league.
