Former Ghana Premier League top scorer Diawisie Taylor is on the verge of completing a move to Berekum Chelsea ahead of the 2026/27 season.
The experienced striker is set for a return to familiar surroundings, having completed his Senior High School education in Berekum before beginning his football journey and rising through the ranks.
Taylor arrives with a proven record in Ghanaian football, having established himself as one of the league’s most dangerous attackers during his time with Karela United.
The forward enjoyed a remarkable 2020/21 Ghana Premier League campaign, finishing as the league’s top scorer with 18 goals in 31 appearances, a performance that earned him the Golden Boot award.
His goalscoring exploits helped Karela United achieve a strong league campaign and attracted interest from clubs both locally and abroad.
Taylor has also represented clubs including Karela United, Hearts of Oak and Sudanese side Al Hilal, gaining valuable experience across different competitions.
Known for his pace, physical strength and clinical finishing, the striker is expected to add attacking quality and experience to Berekum Chelsea’s squad as they prepare for the new campaign.
The move represents a homecoming of sorts for Taylor, who will be hoping to rediscover his best form and help Chelsea compete strongly in the Ghana Premier League.
