A member of Ghana’s 2017 U-17 squad Emmanuel Toku has completed a permanent move to Belgian side Oud-Heverlee Leuven.
The attacking midfielder has signed a three-year deal with the club after deciding to leave Bulgaria where he played for Botev Plovdiv.
After playing for Botev Plovdiv in Bulgaria, the 22-year-old travels to Belgium. Having spent time at Fremad Amager in Denmark, Toku made a permanent switch to the Bulgarian team in September 2021, ahead of the 2021/22 season.
In the 2022–23 season, Toku has made 21 appearances for Botev, netting one goal and making two assists.
Toku played in 70 games across all leagues over his more than two years with Botev, helping to contribute to 14 goals. He scored eight goals and made six other people the providers.
He competed for Ghana’s U-17 team at the FIFA World Cup in India, where they lost to Mali in the quarterfinals.
