Former Hearts of Oak striker Kofi Kordzi has completed a move to Ethiopian Premier League side Mekelle 70 Enderta FC.
The 29-year-old signed a one-year renewable contract with the newly-promoted club after successfully passing his medical examination on Thursday.
Kordzi joins Mekelle on a free transfer following his departure from Libyan side Al-Tahadi Benghazi, where he had played since September 2023. He moved to Libya after a brief stint with Ghana Premier League side Legon Cities FC, for whom he scored five goals in 26 appearances during the 2022/23 season.
The powerful forward had previously returned to Hearts of Oak in August 2021 after a season in Qatar with Muaither SC in the Qatari Second Division. Kordzi enjoyed a productive spell with the Phobians, netting 14 goals in 42 appearances before securing his transfer to Qatar in October 2022.
In addition to his club achievements, Kordzi was part of Ghana’s squad for the 2022 African Nations Championship (CHAN) tournament in Algeria.
Kordzi is the second Ghanaian to sign for Mekelle 70 Enderta FC this transfer window, joining former Asante Kotoko defender Sherif Mohammed.
