Asante Kotoko have invited experienced left-back Richard Bismark Wiafe to their Adako Jachie training grounds for trials as part of efforts to strengthen their defense, Ghanasportspage.com has exclusively revealed.
The Porcupine Warriors are in search of a left-back following the departure of Esmat Abdalhamid. Currently, Patrick Asiedu is their sole option in that position, prompting the club to explore additional reinforcements.
Wiafe, who has previously played for Aduana Stars, Berekum Chelsea, and King Faisal, will undergo a thorough evaluation by the technical team. The decision to offer him a contract will depend on his performance during the trials.
Beyond Wiafe, Kotoko are reportedly scouting other players to further solidify their squad.
The club has already made significant moves in the January transfer window, securing striker Sampson Eduku and forward Kwame Opoku, as they target a strong finish in the Ghana Premier League.
