Former Ghana U20 defender Joseph Adjei only needed some few minutes to settle at his new club Al Diriyah as he impressed in the Saudi club’s victory over Jeddah.
The lanky center-back started and lasted the full duration as Diriyah picked a 2-1 victory at the Prince Turki Bin Abdul Aziz stadium.
Adjei was solid at the heart of Diriyah’s defence, which for sometime has been unstable, and his arrival is expected to solve that problem.
Suleiman Al Saeed opened the scoring after seven minutes before Tamim Al Dosari doubled the score at the stroke of half time.
Mohammed Fouad pulled one back for Jeddah with twenty minutes left.
Joseph Adjei joined Al Diriyah in the winter transfer window from Ghana Premier League side Legon Cities in a mega deal brokered by Ghanaian football agent Ibrahim Saanie.
